Football Background:
• Pro: Andrew was the top-rated defensive tackle in
college football and was eventually drafted by the Atlanta Falcons.
After five seasons with the Falcons, he was traded to the Denver Broncos.
He spent two years with the Broncos before suffering a career ending
injury.
• College: Sporting News All-American at the University of South Carolina.
Provence leads all Gamecock defensive linemen in career tackles (401),
sacks (26), tackles for loss (35) and fumble recoveries (7).
• High School: Most recruited lineman in the state of Georgia as a
high school senior. Was courted by the likes of Southern Cal, Oklahoma,
Penn State, and most SEC & ACC schools before deciding on South
Carolina where his brother, Jerome, was Strength and Conditioning
coach.
